But it's vital to try to eat well to give the body energy to fight the cancer and work through the side effects of the treatments. 

During treatment, vitamin or food supplements may be used for someone with no appetite. If you're finding yourself in this situation, your physician should be able to give some direction. 

While the immune system is low, it's also important to avoid food-borne illnesses.Ensure food is cooked well, and has not been contaminate, or stored improperly.
