Quick ways to care for yourself as a caregiver
Caregiving can be exhausting both mentally and physically. It can be hard to find time for a caregiver to take care of themselves, but even a few minutes can make a big difference on emotional well being. 

But what activities take a short amount of time but reap big rewards?
1. Mindfulness - this can include meditation on your own or with an app
2. Meaningful engagement - having a friend you can chat with for just a few minutes each day can ease the caregiving burden and feelings of isolation that sometimes occur for caregivers
3. Sense of mastery - having something you enjoy doing and feel successful with can be a game changer. Maybe it's a hobby, or a tiny bit of work. Anything you enjoy doing and feel successful when you complete it is a good option.
4. Movement - whether it's a few minutes of stretching or a walk around the neighborhood, moving your body helps your mind.
