Bone Health After Cancer Treatments
websitebuilder • February 7, 2020
We all know that bone health is a concern as we age, but treatments for cancer can also impact bone health. Certain chemotherapy drugs can reduce calcium levels in a person's body which can impact bone health. Radiation may also cause bone loss near the site of radiation.
Even if you don't meet the minimum requirements, you should consider testing for bone health if you've gone through treatment in the past. During and after treatment, it's important to eat calcium rich foods and discuss any concerns with your doctor.
