Weight Lifting After Breast Cancer Surgery

For many years, after treatments for breast cancer, survivors were told not to do a large variety of tasks including lifting more than 5lbs, gardening, and getting a manicure because it was thought that these activities could lead to lymphoedema, a painful swelling of the arm and sometimes a thickening of the skin.
